Things To Do Near Alford in Lincolnshire

Visit the market town of Alford famous for the Alford Manor House, a Grade II listed Building, one of England's largest thatched Manor Houses and a real focal point for the local community. Another popular attraction is the Alford Craft Market held in the Manor House grounds.

Well Vale has public footpaths which lead into the woods to Skendleby Psalter and Ulceby.

On The Lincolnshire Coast

Mablethorpe is an ideal place for the family to visit with clean sandy beaches a variety of amusements and leisure activities. Popular attractions include the Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre, Lincolnshire Aquapark, Mablethorpe Funfair, cinema and a variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Live music and entertainment throughout the summer months can be found in the town to provide a great night out for all the family. Adjacent to Mablethorpe is the quieter village of Sutton on Sea, further north you'll find Chapel St Leonards and the every popular resort of Skegness.

Lincoln is also worth a visit with a busy high street, castle and cathedral.

Boston famous for being the port of departure for the Pilgrim Fathers and for the Boston Stump (St Boltoph's Church.) The Guildhall Museum houses the prison cells where the Pilgrim Fathers were incarcerated in 1607.


Inland you'll find attractive market towns like Spilsby and Horncastle (known for antiques) as well as the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds where Alfred Lord Tennyson was born in Somersby.
